Soul Care Retreats
Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28,29 (NLT)
Soul Care Retreats are an opportunity to strengthen your soul by spending a day with God. Each retreat will begin with worship and teaching about a different aspect of a leader’s life with God. The majority of the day will be in solitude and silence so that participants can spend time alone with God.
FALL 2019 RETREATS & WORKSHOPS
October 14 – Resting in God – Jesus said, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Mt 11:28) If you are a Christian leader – in ministry, in the marketplace, in your church, or in your family – then you carry many burdens. You probably feel the weight of expectations, the weight of uncertainty, and the weight of responsibility. The offer from Jesus to give us rest sounds almost too good to believe. This retreat is an invitation to take him up on that offer – to come and be with Jesus so that you can find rest for your soul.– Location: Roslyn Retreat Center in Richmond, VA
December 7 – Advent: God With Us – “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which translated means God with us.” (Mt 1:23) During Advent, we celebrate the good news of Immanuel – God with us. But that good news can easily get drowned out by the busyness of the season. This retreat is an opportunity to slow down and spend a day with Jesus. – Location: Roslyn Retreat Center in Richmond, VA
