Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”     Matthew 11:28,29 (NLT)

Soul Care Retreats are an opportunity to strengthen your soul by spending a day with God. Each retreat will begin with worship and teaching about a different aspect of a leader’s life with God. But there will also be solitude and silence for you to spend time alone with God.

2019 RETREATS – WINTER & SPRING

February 18 – Life of the Beloved  –  We know in our heads that God loves us, but it is often hard to believe that in our hearts. Drawing inspiration from Henri Nouwen’s classic, Life of The Beloved, this retreat will explore what it means to live in the reality of God’s unconditional love.   Location: The Lodge at Hope Church in Richmond, VA

March 9 – Lent: Talking With God  –  In the history of the church, the season of Lent has been a time for Christians to focus on their relationship with God. This retreat is an opportunity to begin a Lenten conversation with God. You will be encouraged to tell God what is on your heart and to listen to what God might want to say to you.  Location: The Lodge at Hope Church in Richmond, VA

April 13 – The Cross of Christ  – With holy week beginning the day after this retreat, we will invite participants to consider what Christ accomplished for us on the cross. This will include scripture readings, prayers and a stations of the cross experience created by Seattle artist, Scott Erickson.  Location: The Campus of Veritas School in Richmond, VA

TIME – The retreats will be from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

COST – The cost for a one-day retreat is $35 with a boxed lunch included for all participants.
